Long forms feel shorter, and get finished more often, when you break them into pages. Multi-step forms show respondents a progress bar and one manageable chunk at a time instead of one long scroll.

How Pages Are Created
You don't need a dedicated "Add Step" button - pages are created from your fields automatically:
- Section Break fields: add a Section Break from the field palette anywhere you want a new page to start. Everything before it is one page, everything after starts the next.
- Automatic splitting: without any Section Breaks, FormBharat splits your form into pages once a page gets too long for a comfortable mobile screen - roughly every 4 fields, depending on field types.
For full control over exactly where each page breaks, add Section Break fields yourself rather than relying on automatic splitting.
What Respondents See
- A progress bar showing "Page X of Y" and percent complete, styled in your form's theme color
- Next / Previous buttons to move between pages
- Answers are kept as they move back and forth, so checking an earlier answer doesn't lose their progress
When to Use Multi-Step
- ✓Forms with 10+ fields
- ✓Forms that mix different topics - contact info, then preferences, then payment
- ✓Forms where you want to reduce the "wall of fields" feeling on mobile
Short forms under 5 fields are usually faster to complete as a single page.
